Day 01
You will be welcomed and taken to Negombo as you arrive at the Airport. Enjoy a day relaxing by the sea or travelling to the community fish market and Dutch-generation churches. It is well-known for its cute sandy beaches and colonial attractions. An ideal start to your journey through Sri Lanka!
Visit Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first capital of historic Sri Lanka. Discover problematic stone carvings, revered Bodhi trees, and old stupas. Experience the religious air of mystery of one of Buddhism’s sacred sites as you stroll through this town of ruins, wherein history echoes around every turn.
Visit Sri Lanka’s northern treasure, Jaffna. Explore the dynamic urban surroundings, breathtaking coastline, and rich Tamil culture. The antique Jaffna Fort and the Nallur Kandaswamy Temple are famous sites to witness. Savour a tranquil beach day at Casuarina Beach and cool swimming in Keerimalai Pond. Enjoy breathtaking sundown views using crossing the Sangupiddy Bridge.
Travel to the eastern coasts of Nilaveli, a coastal paradise. Visit the respected Koneswaram Temple, which is set on a cliff and go snorkelling on Pigeon Island via boat. Visit the Kanniya Natural Hot Water Wells to unwind.
Discover the breathtaking Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which is identified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For sweeping views and to take inside the ancient frescoes, ascend to the summit of “Lion Rock.” In Minneriya National Park, which is well-known for its considerable elephant gatherings, take satisfaction in a natural world safari. Enjoy a chilled Ayurvedic spa treatment and take a village to immerse yourself in the native way of life.
Travel to Kandy, the cultural centre of Sri Lanka. Discover the famous Temple of the Tooth, which is home to the valuable Buddha enamel relic. Along the way, take within the beauty of the Dambulla Cave Temple. Take in the beauty of a traditional Kandyan dance performance while strolling through the Royal Botanical Gardens. Take a guided tour of Kandy and immerse yourself in the active city lifestyle.
The seashore village of Bentota is a tremendous region to unwind. To find out more approximately Sri Lanka’s famous tea production, visit the Giragama Tea Factory. Take a lovely boat ride at the Madhu River, where you can look at mangroves and little islands, and visit the Turtle Hatchery to witness newborn turtles. Unwind on Bentota Beach’s suitable sands to cap off the day.
Bid farewell to Sri Lanka as you transfer back to the airport for your departure.
